Art is Everywhere

Oh my goodness, you may have seen something like this before, but I am absolutely blown away!! To think you can make something absolutely beautiful on the window of a dusty car! These images were done by Scott Wade and I found them on his website here! There are even more, but I especially liked these ones.

I am inspired to create something beautiful out of something ordinarily unremarkable. I am only sad that when it rains, these pieces of art have to fade away!

Money Saving Tip #1

I wouldn't consider myself wasteful, but whenever there's a new shampoo or hair product that looks fun (or comes in a pretty bottle) I buy it. But when I run out of the tride and true shampoo, I re-buy that too. On my quest to save money, I am vowing to finish EACH of the shampoo and conditioners in my shower and not buy any until I am completely out. You should all try it to!

Lemon Fresh Table-Setting

I am in love with this place setting for a summer party. It's so simple, just a yellow bandana napkin and sunflowers. But the best part is the lemon place card. It makes me want to have an August cookout!

Why can't I be six again?

Oh my goodness, this is THE single most amazing childrens' playroom in the world. I would have loved to have something like this when I was little. I always had a good imagination, but I would have love playing house in a basement that looked like a fairy-tale house! I can't wait to make something like this for my own family someday.

Take a look at the before and after pictures, and definitely visit the website for even more great shots! I found the first photo in the before/after section on design*sponge, and couldn't resist posting this for all of you to check out! Release your inner child and enjoy!

Entering the world of blogging

I have decided to dedicate my first post to

I originally found this amazing and kitschy letterpress business card while exploring in search of ideas for my own cards. The color choices immediately caught my eye, as well as the hand-drawn quality of the illustrations.

I, of course, ended up browsing around her site and portfolio and was impressed with her illustrations and even some of her threadless
tee-shirt designs.

Her site is definitely worth checking out,
if only to check out her rad 3 color animals. But also take a look at her self-promotion materials in the 2008 portfolio section.
