Adios LA

I am loving this project by formerly LA-based artist Jon Jackson. He decided to move to New York City, and instead of just going quietly, he purchased billboard space in five major locations to announce his big "breakup" to the world. Amazing idea, amazing graphics, and amazing marketing...Go, Jon.

Louis Vuitton Fall 2010

I know I am very late to the party by posting this, but I bought Mad Men Season 2 on DVD yesterday (the subsequent hibernation will begin right after work today) and it reminded me of the campaign from Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 that the television show very clearly inspired. I have said it before, and I'll say it again. I hope this level of polish in womens' fashion is really on it's way back, and for good.

Blog Spotlight: Harve & Polly

I am delighted to introduce you all to a new blog I just discovered, Harve & Polly, written by my dear friend & fellow designer, Chrissy Raftery. This gal and I were interns and design students together at Ohio State, and now we are both designers for the University. I am so excited she started a blog, because she has excellent taste and her compilations are so adorable! Follow her blog, friends! I promise you'll like what you see.

Groundhog's Day

In honor of Groundhog's Day tomorrow, I wanted to share an adorable promo video with you guys! It was created by the lovely and talented Laura Sanders, Columbus Comedienne and Graphic Design extraordinaire for an event this Friday night, sponsored by Organ Grinder Productions. If you are in Columbus, I recommend checking it out. It should be a great show featuring the musical stylings of Dolfish and The Happy Maladies

Here is another awesome Laura Sanders promo video for a comedy competition she was in last October that was a big hit as well, if you are pickin' up what she's puttin' down, folks.

Don't Get Salty...

These business cards featured on The Dieline today are from the Gitam, Israel office of BBDO. They are definitely rad, but I'm not sure I would want to commit to just one condiment packet associated with my work. And I wouldn't want to have Sugar...too obvious for a lady. I think the salt packet would most accurately describe me because I am just soooo salty all the time. Ask Cate! But really, I just like the colors the best.

Are You The Best?

I know I am the WORST at blogging lately, but I am very excited to go out tonight to celebrate the best the Columbus design community has to offer at the CSCAor Columbus Society of Communicating Arts, Creative Best awards tonight. It's a bit like the Oscars for the Columbus Graphic Designer, only you don't have to get too dressed up, and listen to the host make awkward jokes at the expense of the audience...hopefully.

Did I mention Jessica Hische was one of the judges? How much did the little design groupie inside me die when I knew that she actually viewed two of my projects? The answer would be...a lot.

Typing Production

I am loving this vintage ad for Royal typewriters. The tagline reads: "A woman's scarf: or how to boost typing production."

Would typing on this dream machine boost your productivity today, girls? It would probably work for me!
