Here is an adorable tablescape idea for an event or wedding using woven ribbons and a crisp, clean color palette to kick your party or event up to the next level. Here is a marathon post of some of my favorite Halloween recipes from Martha Stewart's Halloween Central. There are just so many cute ideas for devilishly delicious foods for Halloween! 

These cupcakes are representing some of the scariest and most ghoulish Halloween creatures in delicious icing and confections. Mummies, Frankensteins, Sea Monsters, or Spiders. Get the How-To Here. 

These Bat & Cobweb cookies are probably the most gorgeous thing I've seen. With these swirly frosting techniques, you will be sure to impress your guests! Get the How-To Here.

Here are two fantastic DIY Halloween party ideas from Martha Stewart's Halloween Central. For the complete how-to, visit the website...but make sure you have time to spare because I can get lost on there for quite a while! 

The first is the skeleton party invitation. When you pull this guy out of the thin black (coffin) envelope, you will know for sure that you're headed for a scarily good time. Just add the event details with a white pen! The clip art is located here. 

Second, make the bar at your Halloween party even more spooky with these labels, meant to be printed on white paper and displayed under a black-light. It gives "Pick your poison" a whole new meaning! Here are the labels for Cyanide Soda, Gin (Elixir of Doom), Toxic Tonic, and Black Death Vodka!

It's October 1st!

So that means I am planning at least one Halloween themed post every day this month! I have already started decorating my apartment, but I have decided to post a few spooky DIY Halloween decoration ideas here for you, all of which I found on Martha Stewart's Halloween Central!

They are all super easy to do, with minimal supplies, but have a big effect on a space!

Try them if you dare! 

Let There Be Light

I am not sure why this idea never occurred to me before this moment. But it is the Organizing Tip of the Day over at Martha Stewart. A flashlight on your fuse box... since basically any time you are dealing with the fuse box, there is a power outage. 

Go Martha!

Basic Black & White

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with Black and White. All you need to do is change out your accent color, and you've practically redecorated your room. I have been browsing home tours on the Martha Stewart website, and of course they are to die for. The modernized take on the Chicago row house made me giddy. 

I absolutely die for this kitchen. The stark white look of it, and the subway tiles on the backsplash would go perfectly with my retro white kitchen appliances from Big Chill. I am saving this image when it comes time to decorate my own kitchen. 

Wedding Inspiration

I have spent a bit of time creating my first wedding inspiration card, thanks to the many photos from The Knot and Martha Stewart Weddings. 

It features two of my favorite colors, and I think they go beautifully together. Enjoy the yellow and robins egg blue wedding!
