This week has flown by, but it just means I have another excuse to share the things I've been loving this week! On Monday, I got my January Birchbox and found a CC cream that has instantly become top-shelf for me. Plus I pulled an old powder sample out of my (obviously very big) makeup bag and fell completely in love with it. Better late than never! And I've included a purchase I made today that I've been thinking about FOREVER and just finally decided to go for it. So without further ado, my January Week 2 favorites.
1 Supergoop! CC Cream Daily Correct Broad Spectrum SPF 35+ Sunscreen
I got this on Monday, and I know it sounds dramatic, but it changed my life. I never bought into the whole BB or CC cream thing before because I like a full-coverage but hey, it was free in my Birchbox so I gave it a try. And damn, it is the most gorgeous, creamy formula with a really nice buildable coverage. And the color match was perfect. I hopped right out to buy the full-size and I'll never go back. I'm thinking it will be incredibly moisturizing during the colder months, but I'm more excited to use it in summer because of its SPF, and because I don't like nearly as full a coverage in the warmer months.
2 Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream
This is an absolute winter essential for me. It's the most moisturizing, thick, nourishing hand cream I have ever used. And it's practically the only thing that will rehab my chapped winter hands. It goes on like butter, but also makes the skin on my hands look and feel fantastic. Is that weird that I care how my hands look? I dunno, but this gives my hands a gorgeous healthy glow.
3 Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
I got this sample in last month's Ipsy Glam Bag, and I had just purchased the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, so it was a little like why? But when I went home for the holidays, this sample was actually perfect for travel. And now, if I'm being honest, I like this just as much if not more. It's great for setting make-up, for baking your under-eye area and concealer, and I would absolutely consider buying the full-size of this powder after my the Laura Mercier runs out.
4 NYC City Proof 24HR Waterproof Eyeliner
This eyeliner is absolutely brilliant. I love this more for tight-lining my eyes than I've loved any luxury liner, seriously. The consistency is so creamy and deeply pigmented, but you can also blend it to really smoke out the lower lash line. Because it's waterproof, it really will stay all day in the waterline! I have not tried it to truly line my eyes because I've been in a deep liquid eyeliner kick these days. But I'm sure it would be great there as well based on its smooth application. I am beyond happy with this product.
*I received this product complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
5 The Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush Collection
I am so excited to have finally purchased these today. I've admired them online forever and ever, and I've tested them at Ulta (my god, they are so soft and the brush handles are so long and perfectly weighted for a really dreamy experience). I have contemplated buying them forever, and added them to my online shopping cart more times than I care to admit. But today I noticed they were buy one, get one free! So I was really mindful about which ones I'd actually use. If I'm honest, I don't apply gel eyeliner, so I don't need a liner brush. I also bought a set with an exclusive brush in it, that also comes with 2 of the standard brushes in the collection, so there was some additional value there. I am very excited to receive the shipment. They will look so gorgeous on display and I can't wait! I'm also hoping that if I love them as much as I predict, I will keep stocking up so I can have multiples of each like a real pro.

Happy New Year - Now Let's See How I Did!
I remember around this time last year posting several New Year's Resolutions on this blog. A sort of 30 before 30, if you will...which gives me the unique opportunity to check back and see how I did! Because while hitting all those goals definitely didn't happen, turning 30 was guaranteed to. Isn't it funny how aging works? Anyway, 2015 really was an incredible year, but it had its low points for me too. Beginning and ending a relationship that was kind of a full-time job in and of itself made it so I didn't have much time to really do the things I'd outlined, but it did bring lots of other meaningful goals and personal achievements. And while I'm really looking forward to a fresh start in 2016, I hope that reposting my New Years Resolutions from last year as more of a continuation (let's keep this party going!) would be kind of cool. We're all a work in progress, right?
So...without further ado, my 2015 Resolutions! I will cross out things I genuinely did and offer some background commentary on the things I did not...
1 Keep an up-to-date calendar/planner (past March...)
Yeah, this is just never going to be a thing for me. But I keep trying! I'm currently trying to focus my planner just to blogging goals and planning content so I don't just...casually step away for four years again! So that is my amended goal for 2016.
2 Keep my desktop/workspace clean (spot clean every day before leaving work)
3 Take an improv comedy class
I still really, really want to do this.
4 Set up drinks/dinner with a new female friend
5 Blog at least twice a week
Hah! A likely story... But, I'm upping this to 3x in 2016.
6 Wear makeup everyday (bonus points if I put it on at home and not at my desk)
I definitely upped my makeup game in 2015, but yeah...it mostly happened at my desk. Not gonna lie.
7 Go kayaking at Riverside or Brooklyn Bridge Park
Still on the list!
8 Go skiing at least twice this season
9 Pay off my credit card
Almost there, but working on it! Definitely happening in Q1 of 2016.
10 Take a design/art workshop or class
11 Buy a sketchbook and start to doodle again
12 Learn to make simple things I haven't tried i.e. whipped cream, poached eggs, roast chicken
13 Find a general practitioner that I like, and have a full check-up (I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been to a GP in 3+ years)
I did find a GP, but I haven't really made an appointment yet. I'm waiting for a big cold so I can kill two birds with one stone.
14 Buy a new mattress
15 Stick to my diet (I do Weight Watchers, and I always nail it perfectly for 2 months, and then fizzle for a month, and so on...this year I'm going for consistency!)
Yeah, this definitely did not happen in 2015, but I'm trying again this year, and changing it up with #Nutrisystem. Stay tuned for more posts on this! I've already lost my first 10 pounds, and I just feel like 2016 will definitely be the year of my best ever body.
16 Read at least 20 books
17 Aim to go on at least one date each week
I did do this right up until I started my relationship in March! I would like to do this again in 2016 maybe?
18 Get weekly manicures and DON'T chew fingernails
19 Cut way back on the booze and the occasional cigarette (very important!!)
Still working on this, though I do think I made some great strides this year.
20 Don't just remove makeup, focus on using my Clinique Sonic System brush for a deeper clean daily
21 Cook for myself at least two days each week
I really did do this for most of the year, so I'm crossing it off!
22 Make my bed everyday (this is so sad...I'm going to be 30, it's time)
I don't nail this every day, but I definitely do it way more and it's been great.
23 Never visit someone's apartment empty-handed (hostess gifts are in your future, friends!)
I can't remember if I really paid many people a visit this year, but I'm keeping this on the list because it's a nice idea and I think something people always appreciate and remember.
24 Make a point to send thank you notes, birthday cards, other meaningful communications Really still working on this. I would love to become a thoughtful, classy, adult lady this year.
25 Never go a full week without doing yoga
I did not do this but, if I'm honest, it's not really a goal anymore. I hurt my foot very badly last spring when I took a spill on my apartment stairs and it's still not quite yoga-ready.
26 Try at least one new recipe every 2 weeks, to broaden cooking/eating horizons
I used Plated for part of the year this year, and I really enjoyed it!
27 Moisturize hands/face/skin daily
28 Drink water (i.e. no more than 2 Diet Cokes per day, how will I ever do this?)
I started really doing this in the back half of the year, and I really do want to continue to work on it in 2016.
29 Go on a relaxing vacation (preferably out of the country)
Sadly no vacation this year. If I hit my weight loss goals, maybe I will take myself to the beach?
30 Feel good, stay positive, be happy
Total resolution score: 17/30 (Over half, not too shabby!)
If I had to add some new ones for 2016 (in addition to the above that I'm still working on) they would have to be:
1 Upgrade my wardrobe to start phasing in more high-quality staple pieces and more polished accessories
2 Give my room a bit of a facelift. I love the décor in there, but a few things need to be tweaked.
3 Start my JennaSaisQuois YouTube channel - Coming soon!
4 Once the credit card is paid off, start an IRA to save for the future
5 Learn how to blow dry my hair!! This is a basic life skill I do not possess...
6 Take a dance class or something fun to get my body moving
7 Really try to take the subway instead of Uber or a Taxi unless it's an emergency or I'm carrying something heavy
8 Stick with Nutrisystem for at least 4 months (longer than I have ever stuck with a diet ever)
9 Do another KonMari style purge of clothing and other clutter at some point
10 Say THANK YOU more often, which I think is such a simple thing that takes no effort and really makes a difference to people

#Blogmas Day 21: Holiday Wish List - Kate Spade
We're getting a little too close to Christmas in terms of ordering gifts (though, to be honest I just ordered my Mom's from Nordstrom today and they guarantee it will arrive by Christmas Eve...so keep your fingers crossed!) And shopping IRL is crazy right now, especially in New York City. It's absolute madness to even get down the street here, particularly on Fifth Avenue which happens to be where I work. But while the time for shopping may have passed for most, I'm sure there are still last-minute shoppers out there, so I still wanted to share some inexpensive and lovely suggestions from Kate Spade. And the best part is that all of these little trinkets and baubles are under $50 dollars! Enjoy!

#Blogmas Day 14: Holiday Candles from Bath & Body Works
Happy Monday, y'all! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for more #Blogmas action here on the blog! I've said it before, but the holidays are not the holidays without a 3-wick candle from Bath & Body Works burning in the background. And one of my favorite things to do is pop into the store near Grand Central Station and just stick my face into each and every one of them until I decide which are THE BEST. It's a very scientific process, and part of my own personal catalogue of Christmas traditions. Anyone else? No? Well, that's okay... I've done the embarrassing legwork for you then! Below are my personal top 4 Holiday 3-wick candles. And, as always, pay attention to sales because you can get an amazing deal on these. In fact, as of now (for a limited time only) they are $15.00 marked down from $22.50, so get to shopping!
1 Cinnamon Caramel Swirl Basically a christmas cookie/dessert in the form of a candle. Yum!
2 Mahogany Teakwood This is a totally masculine, woodsy scent that (not gonna lie to you) kind of smells like a sexy man! I told another lady who was sniffing it, and she bought two! Heyyy girl.
3 Vanilla Bean Noel This is a classic. It's just so sweet, creamy, and totally just warm, and I love burning it in the kitchen.
4 Frosted Cranberry This is also totally an annual classic, and really reminds me of home. It's fresh and fruity, and totally festive.

No Takeout November | Skinnytaste Meal Planner
Hello, November! I can not believe how quickly time is passing these days. Sunrise/sunset... Okay, moving on. I have a friend who's doing a No Spend November and she is basically my hero. If any of you have done something like this successfully, and saved a quick and easy thousand dollars in the process, my hat's off to you! Truly, I think I would die. But the idea inspired me to take an honest look at where most of my money goes each month (cough, cough, takeout/restaurants/bars) and I've isolated something I can SAVE BIG on without going berserk.
No Takeout November, for a New Yorker, is definitely still a sacrifice in order to save big. I typically buy breakfast, lunch, and usually dinner from various restaurants ranging from Dunkin Donuts (coffee + breakfast at work), to my favorite local Mexican restaurant (a dinnertime favorite), to Domino's Pizza (yes, I am the worst New Yorker ever...my boyfriend will be the first to point this out). Hear me: It is ridiculous to eat 3 meals out every. single. day. And, trust me, it adds up fast. Also, when left to my own devices and spur-of-the-moment decisions, I am just NOT a healthy eater. So cooking healthy for myself is a secondary benefit!
My go-to website (and cookbook) for healthy, easy, delicious recipes is skinnytaste.com and so imagine my surprise when I found that she recently released a companion to her amazing cookbook that was a tool specifically for meal-planning and calorie/activity tracking. Enter The Skinnytaste Meal Planner. It seemed like perfect considering my No Takeout pledge.
It's got a spread at the beginning of each week to plan your meals, which I'm using to establish which nights of the week will be "cooking nights." Since I am still as busy as I ever was, and life doesn't take a back seat to my No Takeout plans, I will try to keep these to 2-3 a week, maximum and try to knock out the bulk of my planning and shopping on Sundays.
Then for each day of the week, there's space to track everything you eat (amazing if you're trying to be cognizant of that) as well as a cute space for activity tracking! Sure hope I manage to do more of that as well, but I also know the importance of focusing on one goal before conquering another.
I'm very excited about this No Takeout November project, and will definitely let you all know how it goes! Wish me luck!

Meal Planning 101
A recent obsession of mine is weekly meal planning. I've known people, mostly married couples and young families, who were able to save a ton of money by planning and cooking each breakfast, lunch, and dinner for their week. But as a young professional, a New Yorker, and unfortunately a certified takeout queen, could I ever pull this off? The answer is a resounding yes!
I'm more than 3 weeks in now, and have already saved hundreds of dollars, since I was used to buying breakfast ($5+), lunch ($10+), and dinner ($15+) out every single day. Believe me when I tell you that ANYONE can do this, and the savings alone makes it worthwhile. But there are plenty of additional benefits like added nutritional value (this is amazing for dieters), less urge to snack since you know what and when your next meal is coming, and the satisfaction of both learning new recipes and taking pride in everything you put into your body. I am a meal planning believer!
I've been scouting Etsy for some cute printables that will help me in my meal planning endeavors, and I've displayed a few of my faves below. I may eventually DIY something of my own, but wanted to share for those of you who aren't graphic designers!
This week's meals included:
Sweet Cucumber, Red Onion & Dill Salad (Eat Yourself Skinny)
Clean Egg & Zucchini Muffins (Eat Yourself Skinny)
Spinach Lasagna Rolls (Skinnytaste)
Easy Crust-less Spinach & Feta Pie (Skinnytaste)
Squash-tastic Shepherd's Pie (Hungry Girl)

Happy New Year: 2013
Happy New Year, friends! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season and an extraordinary New Year's Eve. We had a party here in our apartment and it was lovely to be surrounded by my new fabulous friends. It was very surreal to realize that I have joined such an amazing, shiny new group of people in exactly one year's time. See a few of my 2013 Resolutions below, and feel free to share some of yours! I'd love to hear them.
1 BLOG MORE
I've talked about this many times before, but since I sort of fell off the blogging wagon last year while adjusting to my new surroundings (and an extremely taxing new work schedule), I vow to carve out more time this year to writing in this blog. It always makes me feel like the truest version of myself when I am taking the time to be creative and share my thoughts with all of you readers.
2 MAKE MY BED EVERYDAY
I am embarrassed to say it, but I still don't religiously make my bed in the morning. I am not a morning person so I tend to just roll out of bed, throw on some clothes, brush my teeth and get on the subway. But I'm proud to say that I took the time to wake up earlier and make my bed every morning this past week and it made my room feel much cleaner and more organized! And it was a much better sight to come home to, and more comfortable to crawl into at night too. This is one resolution I am definitely going to stick with!
3 SPEND LESS MONEY
This is getting into the cliched New Years Resolution territory, but I seriously need to stop eating out for lunch everyday. It's not healthy and it's really not affordable. Instead, I am going to pack a lunch the night before, or bring a Lean Cuisine or something. I am also going to take fewer taxis, as I've crunched the numbers recently, and that is a huuuuge cost that will definitely be easy enough to cut. I could also stand to cut out some of those guilty pleasures like after-work drinks too, which will be sure to lighten my monthly spending!
4 WHITEN UP
This is probably more of a vanity thing, but I'd really like to cut out dark beverages like Diet Coke and coffee, because I can tell they are slowly but surely staining my teeth. Everyone likes to have a bright, white smile, and I have identified a few things to cut out of my daily routine that will help brighten my teeth.
5 WORK/LIFE BALANCE?
This is the biggest struggle in the world for me...I tend to be a bit of a workaholic, and my job is equally very demanding. This is a disastrous combination, to be sure. I need to know when to say enough is enough, and leave the remaining work for another day. There's always something more I could do, but it often doesn't have to be now, now, now, and completely interfere with my personal time! I need to reclaim my life, and I'm planning on doing it soon!
I know that New Years Resolutions are commonly scoffed at, but I can't imagine ever discouraging someone's quest for self-improvement. It's a very human thing to want to be better and do better and this time of year feels like the closing of one chapter and the opening of another! Good luck with all of your New Years Resolutions! I will keep you posted on how mine are going...

Pack That Thang Up...
Packing. I'm doing a lot of it lately...as you may have heard, here! And instead of feeling extremely bogged down, like one might expect, I'm actually becoming quite an expert at it. In the past 8 years, I have lived in 2 different houses, 3 different apartments, and a dorm room. So you'd think I would be able to live out of a suitcase (or a few) at this point, but believe me, I have had plenty of chances to accumulate junk...
I am what I like to call an organized hoarder. I have LOTS of things, mostly clothing related items (does any twenty-something really need 15 different coats?) but they are all hung up, grouped by item (i.e. skirts, shirts, dresses), and organized by color. I also collect those $5 DVDs on sale at Target like it's going out of style, but they are all alphabetized and live in white boxes like this one from IKEA. I also archive back-issues of Martha Stewart Living by year in these white boxes. You never do know when you're going to want to revisit a really great craft idea, I always say. But thanks to blogs and Pinterest, perfectly lovely daily inspiration, these mags are getting tucked away in storage until I own a sprawling country home like Martha...
Obviously staying organized is still a challenge when I have so much stuff crammed into a 1-bedroom apartment in Columbus. But it's about to get even crazier now that I'll be trying to fit everything I own into one bedroom in a 4-bedroom Manhattan apartment with minimal closet space. I had to downsize. And it felt good! So good, in fact, that I decided to share my downsizing and packing strategies with all of you. Check them out, after the jump!

A Designer's (EXPENSIVE) Toolkit
I had a very expensive day today... The kind of day where you're literally just s t u n n e d.
The kind of day where I saw basically a year of scrimping and saving (and freelancing my pants off) flash before my eyes with just one swift swipe of the debit card. And I left not wanting to scare the nice gentleman helping me carry my new treasures to my car by quietly weeping...
You will know this feeling well if you've ever been a graphic designer who desperately needed to stock up on new hardware AND software all in the same hour-long trip to the technology store. I am feeling better about it now, especially since while I was going swipe happy, I added a pair of Warby Parker glasses to my expenditure tally. You gotta be able to see straight (and look cool) to be a designer, I've learned! And I didn't end up really loving any of these ones... Once I crack open this new Macbook Pro, upload all of my new software, and try on my new glasses, I will just be a brand new lady! What do you think? Have you guys ever taken a soul-crushing trip to the Apple store? Here are a tally of today's purchases:
1 15-inch: 2.4 GHz MacBook Pro
My 3-year-old MacBook Pro has survived an exploded battery, a blown left speaker (which has left it whistling like a tea-kettle), 2 years of design school, a senior thesis project, and a job designing a magazine... It's officially time to retire him. Also, you should note, I NEVER go without AppleCare protection. It has saved me twice in the past, and I'd definitely rather be safe than sorry...
2 Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium
Who could pass up an Ohio State Employee discount on Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium when instead of costing the usual $1,899.99 smackers, I got it here for a miniscule $350 dollars??
3 Microsoft Office:Mac 2011
I once again chose to utilize my Ohio State employee discount to get this software down from $149.99 to a mere $85.00. Thanks, Wired Out!
4 A FREE HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier
I use a printer next to never, but why turn down a freebie? And who knows? Maybe I will use it more than I think I will?
5 Crosby Burgundy Fade glasses from Warby Parker
This was the biggest surprise of the day, actually. Libby, my lovely coworker, had utilized Warby Parker's amazing 5-pair "Try Before You Buy" offer, and we were so excited to get the package today! I love trying on glasses, so I snatched a few pairs to try on for myself, and kinda-sorta fell in love with this pair. They are exactly what I was looking for in a pair of big, plastic statement glasses. And I love the coloring, because it looks almost black on top when they're on, but with the red fade pattern, they go well with my hair. It was a great surprise, because I really never would have tried these on if they weren't sitting out on a table in our office. I ended up loving these way more than the ones I debated in this post...and thus, I was sold.
So I am truthfully stocked up on every piece of equipment a good designer could possibly need to do her job. I don't even know what to do next. But the answer is probably design something, so I can make back some of my squandered money!!

Buys on a Budget: Herringbone Boots
Remember a few weeks ago, when I blogged about a preppy rainy-day look that included a really great pair of two-toned Hunter Regent herringbone boots? I have had galoshes on the brain ever since! I really love the boots because they go with everything, and the herringbone pattern really spruces them up, so they aren't just your standard black wellies. They are truly what I would call the perfect pair; good for any rainy day occasion, whether you just wear them in transit and then slip on your shoes, or build the rest of your outfit around them. However, I really couldn't justify spending the full-price (nearly 200 smackers) on a pair of herringbone boots when I already have two pairs of perfectly good, albeit rather loud, galoshes sitting in my closet. So imagine my surprise when I found this pair today at Target, with a fraction of the price-tag. Needless to say, I'm now the proud owner of a new pair of herringbone rain boots, and this got me thinking...and then blogging...and now I'm pleased to bring you a new JSQ Feature: Buys on a Budget. In my travels, should I come across an equally great (and affordable) item that is nearly identical to it's designer counterpart, you will all be the first to know about it!

Hey, 4-Eyes!
I've worn glasses since I was in 4th grade, so I have come to terms with the fact that they are an integral part of my life... In fact, I've learned to love them. And here are a few reasons why:
At least to other kids at school..
It wasn't even possible for this woman to be cuter...until she put on a pair of glasses!
Over 75% of adults wear correctional lenses of some kind. 64% wear glasses specifically.
Is any person included in this poster series known for being a wallflower?
Literally, if you're Edith Head, who rocked the most iconic pair of glasses...ever.
Now, that my love for eyewear has been sufficiently covered, I want to take a moment to be completely self-indulgent and show you a few glasses I have my eyes on... They are all from BonLook, which seems to be the best place to find trendy and affordable eyewear online. And this digital try-on feature (albeit slightly creepy) is actually really fun. I'm settled on the Jungle Chic frames, but the color options are tough! What do you think?
1 Jungle Chic Green
2 Jungle Chic Tortoise
3 Jungle Chic Grey
4 Jungle Chic Midnight Blue

A Shopping Rule
This weekend, I fell into (and successfully managed to escape) a trap that has ensnared millions of girls before me.
Let me set the scene for you all...
You're walking through the mall. You see something beautiful. You like it. You want it. You need it. You try it on without having ever looked at the price tag. There's your big mistake. Then, when you are absolutely hooked and you just can't live without this item, you peek every so quickly at the numbers.
Suddenly, and immediately, you shimmy out of it or fling it off of your body like you just realized it's radioactive. You pause. You ponder. You can't help but pick it up again, just to hold it. Just to pretend for a second that you own it. Think of how good you suddenly feel! So, should you buy it? I mean, it's not going to kill you to spend a little money on something you love sooo much. You work hard. You deserve nice things. Owning this particular item may even change the entire course of your life! But then again, you could probably find something cheaper...something not nearly as enticing.
This is the moment where you could either quickly slide it back on the rack and promptly feel ashamed of yourself for even considering it, or you could gleefully head to the checkout counter to begin the rest of your life! I know you've all engaged in this inner monologue. Not one lady out there is too pragmatic to have avoided this cheap thrill. This weekend, it happened to me, and I regretfully put back the nearly $250.00 Versace sunglasses and left the department store with my tail between my legs. But I haven't been able to stop thinking about how, for the 30 seconds they rested on my nose, I never looked more amazing in my life... More classic than Audrey Hepburn, more put-together than Olivia Palermo, more stylish than Blair Eadie! I was a vision of effortless beauty and consummate good taste.
But then I remembered that those sunglasses wouldn't be as helpful at the end of the month, when I'd likely run out of money and be forced to live off of a meager diet of dill pickles and diet coke. Below, you'll find some images of the item that, for a brief moment, made me question my very existence...

Pin Frenzy
I've been pinning up a storm lately. I think finishing a mondo-creatively-draining freelance project left me parched for inspiration, and thanks to Pinterest, the waters are flooding again. Here are some of my top pins this week...

Seven Degrees of Sunnies
Sunglasses are a must-have accessory for a billion reasons. They block harmful UV rays from your precious peepers and prevent crows-feet from all that summer squinting. Celebrity Stylist Rachel Zoe even said they are your "Ultimate Do-Not-Disturb" sign. But for the happily un-famous folks not fleeing from paparazzi, sunglasses most importantly allow us to transform our entire look in as much time as it takes to slide them on! They're like putting on an instant costume! And the more variety you have, the more you can change it up from day to day, whether it's Audrey Hepburn or Penny Lane...So without further ado, The 7 Essential Must-Have Sunglasses.
1 Colorful, Summer Sunnies
These slightly retro shades are perfect for a beach vacation or just a drive with the top down // Buy them here
2 Hollywood Glamor Glasses
This subtly cat-eyed pair are are ideal for sitting by the pool in a floppy hat and a retro bathing suit, sipping a lemonade...or this! // Buy them here
3 Classic Ray Bans
Or in this case, similar look, but a fraction of the price! These glasses are perfectly dark, for those ultra bright days // Buy them here
4 Flirty Frames
These nude frames look great on any skin-tone, have a fun gradation of color, and add a touch of romance to your summer look // Buy them here
5 Tortoise Shell Shades
Tortoise Shell sunglasses are a Must-Have Item in my opinion. They are classically cool, and go with everything // Buy them here
6 Aviators!
These are just effortlessly cool. Wear them with long, messy hair, and you're bohemian. Wear them with a ponytail and it's simple, utilitarian glamor. And they are so lightweight, you barely feel like you're wearing sunglasses at all // Buy them here
7 1970's Inspired Specs
I firmly believe that every woman should have a truly enormous pair of sunglasses. But when you go 70s-chic, you can get away with it without being too obnoxious. And, these gold frames go perfect with a tan... // Buy them here
All of these glasses are from Forever 21, for only $5.80 each! I highly recommend buying sunglasses on the cheap, because they are really easy to lose, scratch, or accidentally sit on...I start my summer with quite a few more than I end with, but at this price, I have zero guilt.

Money Saving Tip #1
I wouldn't consider myself wasteful, but whenever there's a new shampoo or hair product that looks fun (or comes in a pretty bottle) I buy it. But when I run out of the tride and true shampoo, I re-buy that too. On my quest to save money, I am vowing to finish EACH of the shampoo and conditioners in my shower and not buy any until I am completely out. You should all try it to!
